Within Mosaic is a “relentless pursuit of innovation,” which comes to life through a global presence of research and development team members. Mosaic’s R&D team helps support the world grow the food it needs through new and innovative technologies.
Mosaic’s emphasis on research — with over 2,300 field research trials conducted globally in 2022 alone — gives growers the confidence that the products and practices they use are effective, consistent and reliable.
Taking a world view while coming together
From this worldwide knowledge base, this team can account for differences in growing and yield related to location, environment, production, crops and more.
“As we’re bringing technologies forward, we have to think about all that,” notes Kim Nicholson, vice president of AgTech and Innovation for Mosaic’s Global Strategy Team. “And the best way we do that is bring the expertise of our specialists in those markets together to share ideas.”
Mosaic R&D team members from India, China, Brazil, Canada, Central America and beyond came together in August at the Advanced Crop Nutrition Forum at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to collaborate and learn from one another and alongside attendees.
Together, the R&D team brings together their differences — cultural experience, educational background, perspectives and skill sets — to create what Nicholson describes as “the rich mix that gives us the opportunity to really build global solutions.”
