Microbes in the soil play a vital role in plant health and productivity. While every field has native populations of microbes, they may not be at the concentration or include the strains needed to boost plant growth and yield potential in today’s intensive cropping systems.
Adding a biological to fertilizer applications can help ensure crops have the microbes they need to support early-season crop growth and start the season strong. Bacillus-based biologicals, like BioPath or PowerCoat, can help growers maximize their return on fertilizer investment by optimizing the three pillars of nutrient use efficiency – availability, uptake and utilization of nutrients. When these three pillars of nutrient use efficiency are maximized early on in the season, growers are likely to see increased germination, emergence and early-season growth that translates to higher yields at the end of the season.
